Dear Parents,
What an exciting and busy time here at SMA! With their 1st place Academic Decathlon win still fresh on all of our minds, our team is preparing for the National competition this Friday. Please keep them in your prayers as they represent the Diocese of San Diego. They are already “winners” in our book!
While we are on the topic of winners…congratulations to the entire faculty and staff of SMA on a positive and affirming accreditation visit. Many thanks to Mrs. Zack for her work on our document, to Fr. Pat for his incredible support, and to the teachers for all of their work in their classrooms in preparation for our visiting team’s 2 ½ days on our campus. I will share the “Report of Findings” within the State of the School document in the coming weeks.
More excitement is coming to SMA next week. Auxiliary Bishop Bejarano will be visiting our campus on Wednesday, March 20 from 8:00-10:00. We look forward to welcoming him as he visits with our teachers, staff, and students. There’s always something wonderful happening at Stella Maris Academy!

¡Qué tiempo tan emocionante y ocupado aquí en SMA! Con su primer lugar en el Decatlón Académico todavía fresco en nuestras mentes, nuestro equipo se está preparando para la competencia nacional este viernes. Por favor manténganlos en sus oraciones mientras representan a la Diócesis de San Diego. ¡Ellos ya son “ganadores” en nuestro libro!
Mientras estamos en el tema de ganadores… felicitaciones a toda la facultad y personal de SMA en una visita de acreditación positiva y afirmante. Muchas gracias a la Sra. Zack por su trabajo en nuestro documento, al Padre Pat por su increíble apoyo, y a los maestros por todo su trabajo en sus aulas en preparación para nuestro equipo visitante de 2 ½ días en nuestro campus. Compartiré el “Informe de Hallazgos” dentro del documento del Estado de la Escuela en las próximas semanas.
Más emoción viene a SMA la próxima semana. El Obispo Auxiliar Bejarano visitará nuestro campus el miércoles 20 de marzo de 8:00 a 10:00. Esperamos darle la bienvenida. Esperamos darle la bienvenida mientras visita a nuestros maestros, personal y estudiantes. ¡Siempre hay algo maravilloso sucediendo en la Academia Stella Maris!
